There are about a dozen owls of different sizes and breeds at Fukuro Sabo Owl Cafe in Kokubunji, Tokyo.
The cafe offers a good look into the different breeds of owl with haunting-looking barn owls to mysterious Eurasian eagle owls. Petting and holding these avian predators can be somewhat intimidating, however it's a fun and uncommon experience.
Some owls are so tiny you can hold them in the palm of your hand, or dine while they run around (or sleep) on your table. Other larger owls remain outside in a small shed connected to the cafe where you can take pictures of and admire them.
