The Tet Festival, also known as Tet Nguyen Dan or simply Tet, is the most significant annual event in Vietnam. It celebrates the Lunar New Year, and symbolizes new beginnings, prosperity, and a time to connect with loved ones.
If you're in Tokyo and looking for a way to celebrate, check out the Vietnam Tet Festival at Yoyogi Park. 2024 will be the first iteration of the event, and it's set to include music and dance performances plus a variety of authentic eats available for purchase – including the ever-popular banh mi.
There is no admission fee to enjoy the atmosphere of the event, but do bring yen if you plan on purchasing food or drinks.
