There are numerous ways to celebrate the festive season in Tokyo, with sparkling illumination events and Christmas trees popping up in various locations across the city. However, if your preferred method of welcoming this time of year is through food, the Shibuya Christmas event at Yoyogi Park is worth checking out.
The five-day affair is focused on gourmet eats, with approximately 30 stores slated to be present at the event. There will also be a live music section (an admission fee will apply, price has yet to be determined at the time of writing).
There is no admission fee to peruse the eats on offer, but bring yen if you plan on making a purchase.
Getting there
Yoyogi Park can be accessed within five minutes on foot from Harajuku Station, which is served by the JR Yamanote Line. Other train stations in close walking distance include the Tokyo Metro's Meijijingumae and Yoyogi-Koen Stations.
