Rugby has been up and down in popularity in Japan over the last few decades, but this is certainly an exciting time for local fans of the sport. The opening ceremony took place on September 20th, 2019 in Tokyo Stadium with an impressive showing of six jet aircraft of the Blue Impulse aerobatic team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force flying over the stadium.
Watching the games live is a great opportunity to see Japan's unique sports culture while taking in the local cheers and excitement of the fans. Even if you are not able to make it to the stadium, you can watch the games live in sports bars all around Tokyo.
If you are looking for a fun environment with Japanese and foreigners alike, try out the Tregion Port in Akasaka. All profits from the event will be donated to Tohoku related charitable causes so this is a good chance to have fun and donate at the same time!
The main room has an enormous 140-inch screen and a private room which can seat 20-25 people is available with a 40-inch screen. Reservations for the private room are available and feel free to contact Blue Compass for details.
