When it comes to Japanese comfort foods, gyoza is up there with the best – and if you're looking for a way to indulge in them, a new event in Tokyo fits the bill. The Craft Gyoza Festival brings a variety of dumpling types from across the country to Komazawa Olympic Park, with some of the options including Omi beef-filled gyoza (one of Japan's top types of beef), Koedo black pork gyoza, and even lobster-filled gyoza for something different.
If you're not close to Tokyo, a companion event is being held in Osaka around the same timeframe - more details can be found on the official festival website.
Admission to the event is free of charge, but do bring yen if you're planning to try out some of the gyoza varieties – each type is priced at ¥700.
