If you're a sake connoisseur or you'd simply like to learn more about this popular Japanese beverage, the Sake Fair at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro is a great place to start. Billed as the world's largest sake event, an incredible 1,700 alcoholic beverage makers from 45 different prefectures will be represented.
Along with the impressive variety of sake to taste or purchase, there will be other traditional Japanese beverages to try such as awamori, shochu, and hon-mirin. Lecturers from Niigata University's Sakeology Research Center and the National Research Institute of Brewing will also be present, providing interesting insights and stories about their sake-related findings.
Please note that this is a paid event, and each admission ticket is for one three-hour window of the two-day event. Details on how to purchase tickets can be found on the official website.
