If you go to Yoga in the suburbs of Tokyo to see the Setagaya Art Museum, then it's worth making a little detour to a couple of temples near the station. You'll spot Muryo-ji by the red-bibbed statues at the gate, which has heavy wooden doors with interesting lion carvings. There are more attractive carvings under the eaves of the main hall, a big dragon and some airborne guardian lions.
