Newly opened in March 2017, Roppongi Mun (肉ダイニング 六本木MUN) becomes the second location to Ginza Mun – the Korean-style izakaya. With its gratifying cuisine, cozy setting and convenient Roppongi location, Mun stands to become a new landmark for Korean-style dining in Roppongi.
The Menu
Start off your meal with a delightful selection of ¥380 small plates from the tapas menu, ranging from homemade chicken ham, to Korean-style pickled cuttlefish, to Korean-style pickles. Expect a collection of rich and diverse flavors inspired by Korean cooking to whet your appetite.
While predominantly Korean in its selection, Mun's wider fusion-esque menu exemplifies the best of Korean cooking whilst also revealing some Western influences, thanks to the training undergone by the head chef in Western cuisine at Seoul's Mayfield Hotel.
Innovative interpretations of traditional Korean food include grilled samgyeopsal (pork belly meat) (¥1,180), spare ribs in a grilled cheese fondue (¥1,180), tomato kimchi with ricotta cheese (¥480), and Spanish omelette chijimi (Korean pancakes) (¥780). Think the best of Korean flavors with some creative influences, providing a balance of Korean dishes and Western-inspired options.
As for drinks, there is a wide range to choose from including beers, wines, non-alcoholic cocktails, and soft drinks. The staff are always friendly and happy to help you choose the best drink to match your orders.
