Each year in autumn, Osaka's Toyono Cosmos Park comes alive with around a million colorful flowers in bloom for visitors to enjoy. It's not uncommon to see people pulling out picnic blankets to sit and enjoy some lunch while appreciating the surroundings - so feel free to pack something yourself and bring it along if you'd like to do the same.
At the cosmos park you'll also typically find locally-grown produce for sale, and cut cosmos flowers for those who would like to take some home with them.
Admission to the cosmos park is 500 yen for adults, and 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students. Children younger than junior high school age receive free admission.
Getting there
Osaka's Toyono Cosmos Park can be accessed in around a 15 minute drive from the Minō Todoromi IC on the Minō Toll Road. On-site parking is available for up to 100 vehicles.
