Venue Nagsaki Prefectural Art Museum

When Oct 3rd 2020 - Jan 3rd 2021, 10:00am - 6:00pm

The port city of Nagasaki served as Japan's gateway to the outside world for many years, and as a result it also attracted various artists. "Stirrings and Glimmers" is a special event taking place at the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, and it looks into how the city has been depicted in artwork.

A range of works will be on display, including Yatarō Noguchi's "Evening in Nagasaki "(1950). Adult admission to the event is priced at 800 yen.

Getting there

The Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum is located a three minute walk from the Dejima tram stop, a five minute walk from the Nagasaki Shinchi Bus Terminal, or a 15 minute walk from the JR Nagasaki Station.

For those who plan to drive to the museum, it's located approximately 5 minutes from the Nagasaki exit on the Nagasaki Expressway. Paid parking is available on-site, and discounts are given to those who attend museum exhibitions, or the museum cafe and shop. Present your parking ticket at the entrance and the staff will validate it for you.
