The resort town of Karuizawa in Nagano is a popular destination for various outdoor recreation pursuits, from cycling to skiing and plenty more. The area is also home to the Karuizawa Half Marathon, where participants can enjoy the region's fresh air and springtime greenery as they tread the route.
Getting there
The start/end point of the event (the Karuizawa Prince Hotel ski resort parking lot) is located 8 minutes on foot from Karuizawa Station's South Exit.
For those who opt to drive, the course is 13km from the Usui Karuizawa IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Please note there is no free parking lot for competitors – the event organizers recommend parking at a paid lot within the Karuizawa town area.
