Tokyo's Sanrio Puroland is set to host a summertime Tanabata-themed celebration, the Mignon Fuwafuwa Matsuri, from early June until early July. Inspired by the “French girly” aesthetic, the event blends the magic of Tanabata with an ethereal pink-toned atmosphere that emphasizes all things sweet, fluffy, and cute.

The highlight of the event is set to be the illumination show in Puro Village, where Sanrio favorites like Kiki, Lala, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll will be performing under sparkling lights set to original music. The show will also feature a guest appearance from the idol group Kyururin te shitemite. Visitors can enjoy fun photo opportunities at themed spots, including one styled after the fashion magazine LARME, and even pose as a cover star.
Throughout Puroland, decorations will reflect the Tanabata theme. The Kiki and Lala Twinkling Studio and a limited-time Wishing Spot will be updated with whimsical backdrops perfect for photos, and visitors can also meet Sanrio characters in Tanabata-themed outfits during special greeting sessions. Please note that these require advance reservations.

Cute food fans don't miss out, either, with limited-time offerings such as a pink curry with fried shrimp, a peach parfait, and a sky-blue lassi topped with Kiki and Lala. Exclusive merchandise such as keychains, sticker sets, cookies, and clear files featuring the characters in their seasonal outfits will also be available.

For details and updates, guests are encouraged to visit the Puroland website.
