Just a week shy of October 31st there are many Halloween parades in and around Tokyo. Besides the one in Kawasaki , there are others in Ikebukuro and Odaiba. Watching the parade is free, but if you want to be in it you have to pay ¥1,000 and register on the event website. The parade usually has a multitude of people wearing many different types of costumes and is quite an exciting event for the whole family. Make sure you arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.

This event closed permanently in 2021.
