Heisenji Hakusan Shrine

Listen to the whisper of sylvan spirits in the forest

In mid-June this year when the rainy season just started, I visited the shrine for the first time. And I'm glad that I did. It was just awesome. I felt like I was enveloped by sylvan spirits and merged with the green forest. If you think I'm exaggerating come feel it yourself. You'll believe me. It's about 10 to 15 minutes by bus/taxi from Echizen Katsuyama Station and has a fascinating history.
