Tokiwa Park is a family friendly park decorated with natural greenery, award-winning sculptures, an animal protection zoo, an amusement park, and a coal mining memorial museum. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, such as playgrounds, walking paths, and seasonal gardens. Tokiwa Park is an excellent spot for families and nature lovers. With lots to do and see, there is entertainment and beauty in every activity.
Tokiwa Park is also home to selected award-winning sculptures. UBE Biennale is an international sculpture competition held every two years and showcases works from both established and emerging artists from around the world. Incredibly, in March 2024, the Guinness World Records™ recognized the UBE Biennale as the “longest running outdoor sculpture competition.” With 15 winning sculptures every two years, Tokiwa Park is made even brighter with about 100 sculptures in the park. The upcoming 30th edition of the UBE Biennale is scheduled from October 27 to December 22, 2024.
Whether it is a whole day or an afternoon stroll, there is plenty to experience, admire, and absorb in a park that harmonizes nature and art.
