Purin, also known as custard pudding, is a popular dessert in Japan which is known for its silky smooth texture and rich flavor. Made with simple ingredients like eggs, milk, sugar, and caramel sauce, the delicate balance of sweetness and creaminess makes purin a perfect finale to any meal or a comforting indulgence on its own.
The Purin Expo at Yamaguchi's Onoda Sun Park serves as a celebration of the tasty treat, and is set to include over 50 kinds of popular puddings selected from all over the country. The five-day event runs from 10am until 7pm, except for the last day (18th July) when things wrap up at 4pm.
Getting there
The event takes place at Onoda Sun Park (1F Central Court special venue), which can be accessed in approximately 10 minutes on foot from Minami-Nakagawa Station on the JR Onoda Line. For those who opt to drive, on-site parking is available.
