Latest on Tokyo TowerTokyo Tower is set to celebrate its 65th anniversary on December 23rd this year, and to commemorate this a special light up event is taking place until December 25th at the base of the iconic structure. The Tokyo Tower Winter Fantasy Retrospective Illumination includes a light show around a mini Tokyo Tower set to music (running every 15 minutes from 4pm), plus numerous decorated fir trees and over 40,000 LED lights adorning the area.
Best of all, it's free to enjoy, so be sure to stop by if you're in the area!
Getting there
Tokyo Tower is located approximately five minutes on foot from Akabanebashi Station, which is served by the Toei Oedo Line.
For those who opt to drive, the venue is around 7 minutes from the Shiba-Koen exit of the Shuto Expressway. Parking is available adjacent to the tower and is charged at 600 JPY for the first hour and then 300 JPY for every 30 minutes thereafter.
