They say that the early bird catches the worm, and in the case of Asakusa’s famous Senso-ji Temple, it’s really true in more ways than one. Come early in the morning when the air is fresh and locals come to offer up their daily prayers. And if you come really early-before any of the shops open along the long street that leads up to the temple from Kaminarimon Gate-you’re in for a real treat: Shutter Art, Japanese style. Some of the images are really beautiful and worth getting up early to see.
