Blurring the boundary between the office and park

The first thing that caught my eye were the plants: The space was so green it looked like the cafe was nestled in a forest, or maybe a forest grew out of the cafe. Here is a cozy corner conveniently located in Roppongi Hills where you can practice an approximate form of shinrin-yoku or "taking in the forest," but without the usual hazards of mosquitoes, wild animals, getting lost, or unexpected damp places. Welcome to Park6, a new concept of work space appealing to business people who seek a relaxing place that blurs the boundary between productivity and taking a break. Park6 realizes many busy people's dream of having a comfortable work space surrounded with generous greenery, good coffee (of utmost importance), and delicious fresh food.

Park6 is powered by bondolfi boncaffe, the very same bondolfi cafe that first opened in 1855 in Rome, Italy and whose coffee has been loved by locals for more than 160 years. True to its Italian roots, Park6 dishes up meals made from the freshest seasonal domestically grown vegetables, and cheese and ham directly imported from Italy. Aside from their signature coffee, their sandwiches made from these ingredients and cooked to order are the cafe's bestsellers.

Park6 has several options for workspaces, all of which come with multiple power outlets and free wireless LAN. For people who don't mind the quiet subtle presence of other like-mined people, the Open Desk is where you'll find tables arranged around a green centerpiece. Those who need to do more focused work might prefer the Solo Work Booth or the Concentration Booth. A small conference room is also available for meetings. The renting of these spaces come with a free drink. Like a regular office, you can print, scan and copy materials (charges apply). Beside the Open Desk is a library where you can browse books, magazines and catalogues for work inspiration.
