"MOT Collection: Rewinding the Collection" is the title of a special event happening at Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art until February 14th 2021. The museum houses around 5500 art pieces in its collection, and this event serves to look at their origins and history.
A wide variety of works from different periods and diverse artistic styles will be on display at the event, from iconic pop art legends Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, through to nihonga art from Ryusei Kishida, and contemporary works from Minoru Nakahara to name just a handful. Adult admission to the exhibition is priced at 500 yen.
Getting there
The Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art is located approximately 9 minutes walk from the B2 exit of Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station, served by the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line.
Alternatively, from Kikukawa Station on the Shinjuku Line, take the Toei Bus bound for either Shimbashi, Fukagawa Shako, or Kiba Station, and alight at Tokyoto Gendai Bijutsukan.
