Kuzushi Kappo Onikai provides an intimate, Japanese izakaya-style setting over in Tokyo's Naka-Meguro area
Opened in August 2018, Onikai—literally 'second floor'—occupies the same premises as the lunch-only Tempura Miyashiro downstairs and focuses on a menu containing fresh fish and seasonal vegetables, paired with a sake selection, in a modern Japanese designed interior.

The main counter seating allows guests to observe preparation right before their eyes (with the downstairs kitchen also used), with terrace seating for two also providing a unique view of Nakameguro's quaint streets at night.
Though the menu is seasonal, we tried a range of dishes which can provide a glimpse of the flavours you can expect:

The entrance is tiny and partially concealed by a street sign, so you may not stumble in here accidentally, with advanced booking recommended.
