In conjunction with the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum, Tokyo's National Museum of Nature and Science will host an exhibition all about kigumi, otherwise known as the Japanese art of wood joinery. The focus of this event will be on disassembling various wooden items to show the wisdom, ingenuity, and skill level of the artisans involved in their creation.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 630 yen, and do note that at present, all visitors to the museum are required to make advance reservations. These can be arranged via the official website here.
