Following on from the event at Hokkaido's Mikasa City Museum, the traveling Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition heads to the Shimane Prefectural Nature Museum from October 9th until January 30th 2022. The event aims to make learning about paleontology fun by displaying 'fossils' of fictional Pokémon characters alongside the real deal from other animals.
After the Shimane portion of the event, the exhibition will move onto the National Science Museum in Tokyo during spring of 2022, and Aichi's Toyohashi Museum of Natural History in summer of 2022.
Admission to the event is priced at 800 yen for adults, and 200 yen for school-aged students. Those under school-age receive free admission.
Getting there
The Shimane Prefectural Nature Museum is located around 80 minutes by car from the Izumo Airport area, 40 minutes from the Yoshida-Kakeya IC on the Matsue Expressway, or approximately 30 minutes by car from JR Oda Station (served by the San'in Main Line).
