Rurikoji Temple (瑠璃光寺, Rurikōji) located inside Kozan park is a buddhist temple built in 1442 known for its 5 story pagoda. The pagoda is a national treasure and belongs to the top 3 pagodas in Japan together with the pagodas of Daigoji Temple in Kyoto, and Horyu-ji Temple in Nara. The pagoda is lit up every night from sunset until 10PM.
The roof of Rurikoji Temple's five-storied pagoda will be undergoing renovations from February 2023 to March 2026. You will still be able to enter Kozan Park during this period.
