Sanrio fans located near Osaka have a fun event to look forward to, starting this May and running all the way until October. The Sanrio Characters Sweets Buffet – Joyful Summer Festival is a collaborative event held at the Hilton Osaka, and it will include a variety of themed desserts and drinks on offer.

Approximately 25 types of sweets will be available at the event, many of which have a focus on summer fruits such as mango, peach, and watermelon. Some of the menu items include a fluffy mango pavlova, a lime and raspberry caked topped with chocolate decorations shaped like Sanrio characters My Melody, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll, and a chocolate mousse designed to look just like a sunflower.

The Sweets Buffet runs from May 20th until September 11th, and is priced at ¥ 4,900 per person on weekdays and ¥ 5,300 per person on weekends, holidays, and during the Obon period. If you're visiting with children in tow (aged 4 to 11 years), they pay half the standard fee. Reservations can be made by visiting the Hilton Osaka website.

Along with the sweets buffet, there will also be a Sanrio-themed afternoon tea event held during the same dates. This event is slightly cheaper (¥ 4500 per head), and includes a variety of sweets presented in a jewelry box styled container. Reservations for the afternoon tea event can be made via the same link as the sweets buffet mentioned above.
