Are you a seafood fanatic or an enthusiast of Japanese izakaya (bar) food? Then look no further than Majimeya Nanba, a collaborative restaurant in Namba, Osaka.

This eatery marries the “All-You-Can-Eat Sashimi Fishing Port Restaurant” with izakaya, “Majimeya Namba.” Thus, offering:

  • All-you-can-eat sashimi lunches from 12pm–3pm (L.O. 2:30pm)
  • Dinner courses, à la carte options, and all-you-can-drink menus from 5pm–11pm (L.O. 10:30pm)

These tasty offerings, nestled in a minimalistic setting where chatter and good times take center stage, will undoubtedly lead to a memorable dining experience.

Arguably, the restaurant’s most distinguishing feature is its all-you-can-eat sashimi. This self-service menu gives you access to more than eight types of sashimi selected from all over the country, including tuna from Nagasaki Prefecture and bonito from Kochi Prefecture. Complementary sides—like salad, side dishes, fried food, rice, curry, soup, fruit, and desserts—are also available, creating a lunch that is both filling and representative of Japan’s delectable cuisine. Everyone, from children to adults, can enjoy the fresh offerings.

You can choose either the Standard Plan (60 minutes) or the Premium Plan (90 minutes). Both plans offer all-you-can-drink options as well. The pricing (including tax) is as follows:

  • All-you-can-eat and drink: ¥4,400 (60 mins) or ¥7,150 (90 mins)
  • All-you-can-eat (adult): ¥3,300 (60 mins) or ¥5,500 (90 mins)
  • All-you-can-eat (4–12 years old): ¥2,530 (60 mins) or ¥4,180 (90 mins)
  • All-you-can-eat (0–3 years old): Free

The sashimi lunch is quite popular, so don’t be surprised if you see a queue around lunch time. Please note that reservations are not available for lunch.

Dinner: Izakaya delights

In the evening, the restaurant swaps out its self-service offerings for a traditional bar atmosphere. Like lunch, course meals are available, including all-you-can-drink, hot pot, and bar food menus.

Sink your teeth into mouthwatering eats, like fried chicken wings (seasoned with yuzu salt, miso soy sauce, spice, or curry), dumplings, spring rolls, udon, yakisoba (a Japanese noodle stir-fried dish), kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables), and so much more. Pair these dishes with an alcoholic or soft drink of your choosing, and you will definitely have an unforgettable night. The conversations of tourists, friends, and coworkers will buzz around you, immersing you in an authentic izakaya experience.
