Okinawa’s Churaumi Aquarium is like a marine theme park, beach resort, and aquarium, all in one place. Situated north of Naha city, you can relax under the swaying trees and listen to the sound of sea breezes and lapping waves. For lunch, the Inoh restaurant serves a variety of Okinawan, Italian, and tropical curry meals, suitable for families in a buffet or a la carte style, from around ¥1500.
Nearby are the Oceanic Culture Museum and Emerald Beach, both hidden gems for body, mind and soul.
It is approximately 3 hours from Naha Airport or City by Highway Bus 111 with a transfer at Nago Bus Terminal on routes 65, 66, or 70 to Commemorative Park. Otherwise hire a scooter, convertible or car for the scenic trip north.
