Konashidaira campsite and its beautiful surroundings

Konashidaira Camping Site, only a 5-minute-walk from Kappa-bashi Bridge, sits on a calm flat land surrounded by crabapples and pine trees. From the nearby picnic tables along the Azusa River, we enjoyed the view of the sheer bare mountain surface and racing clouds covering the mountain head. If you make a reservation, the site will prepare BBQ for you (only May to September). The campground is open from mid April to early November. Restrooms, public bath (12PM-7PM, 600 yen), and a small shop are also next to the site. They charge 800 yen per person if you have your own tent. A rental tent for 4-5 people costs 8000 yen per night. Their web site is here (Japanese only).
