Kinkaku-ji, or the Golden Pavilion, is one of Kyoto's many wonders, and while it's best to see it on a nice day, it still manages to shimmer even in the stormiest weather.
While the area around Kinkaku-ji may get muddy during a storm, the pavilion is a sight you will not want to miss. Storm clouds may even add more drama to the scene, and the dark clouds make the temple's gold leaf coating shine even more.
If you happen to be visiting in bad weather, don't worry: Kinkaku-ji is stunning no matter what.
