The Golden Pavilion is one of the most famous temples in Kyoto, and attracts huge crowds of both tourists and locals alike all year long. When it snows, the crowds get even more intense, as the magnificent gold color is accentuated even more by the crisp white snow.
It is certainly a beauty to behold, but just be very wary of the crowds! For these photos, I waited to get to the front of the crowd for about 10 minutes. This was actually a very short waiting time, as there was a very kind elderly man in front of us who let us pass seeing we were so short and couldn't see!
