Lake Sagami MORI MORI is set to host the Lake Sagami Sakura Run in late March, and the event is now in its fifth year. It takes place at one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kanto region, which is home to a stunning display of approximately 2500 cherry trees.

The event is divided into two categories: a 2.5km Fun Run & Walk and a 6km Run. The 2.5km Fun Run & Walk is a leisurely-paced event suitable for all participants, offering scenic photo opportunities with the cherry blossoms, a "mountain of sweets" station featuring Sagamihara's famous local treats, and refreshment stations where participants can try Sagamihara yuzu cider and iced tea. With a relaxed pace in mind, this event encourages everyone to enjoy the day’s beauty, whether running or walking.
The 6km Run offers a more challenging experience, taking advantage of the unique, undulating terrain of Lake Sagami Resort. Runners will wind their way through rows of cherry blossoms, climb hills, and traverse a forested campsite area. This route offers not only a physical challenge but also the chance to immerse oneself in the natural surroundings of the great outdoors.
