The Nogata Summer Festival in Fukuoka is a multi-faceted event, with a variety of stage performances, a traditional float display, and an impressive fireworks show to close out the fun.
The fireworks will be launched from 8pm, and around 6000 of them will light the summer night sky with color. If you can't make the event in person, the fireworks will be broadcast via Instagram live here – be sure to keep in mind that the time is JST.
Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the festival will be postponed until August 2nd or August 8th. Stay tuned to the festival's social media accounts for timely updates.
Getting there
The event takes place at the Nogata Riverside Park, which can be accessed in under 10 minutes on foot from Nogata Station on the Chikuhō Main Line. Parking is available around the area, however please note that some lots require payment.
