On January third this year, we had a rare sunny day in Fukui after a long snowy month. Of course I didn't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take photos of snow in Fukui (usually, it either snows or rains here during the whole winter season). The first place that flashed into my mind was Shougenji Temple, which I visited in early October last year. It's a small but beautiful temple in my neighborhood, with a pretty Japanese garden, and I wanted to see it covered in snow! Here are some photos I took on this visit.
