About Noda

Noda City located in Chiba Prefecture is known as "Soy Sauce City". In the Edo Period, soy sauce brewers cooperated to create Kikkoman, the world-famous soy sauce company.

Also in the city is Shimizu Park, one of the Top 100 cherry blossom viewing sites in Japan, and home of the largest field athletics adventure courses.

Noda City is home of both natural and architectural heritage. Meet oriental storks at the bird sanctuary, tour the stately homes of soy sauce merchants at Kamihanawa Historical House and Mogi House, and see the sweeping view of the Kanto plain from Sekiyado Castle. As souvenirs of your trip, take home soy sauce flavored traditional sweets and senbei rice crackers.
