The TeamLab digital art collective are well-known for their immersive exhibitions that merge art, technology, and nature, and their latest event is no different. TeamLab Yamanakako Walk, Walk, Walk is set to run from October 27th until November 12th, and will bring a variety of colorful exhibits to Asahigaoka Lakeside Green Park on the shores of Yamanashi's Lake Yamanaka.
One favorite that has been present at other TeamLab events is the Autonomous Resonating Life display, which includes numerous ovoid-shaped lights. They're interactive, and change color when people touch them or when they're influenced by the elements. The Walk, Walk, Walk component includes a host of anonymous illuminated portraits decorating the trees around the waterfront.
This is a paid event, with general admission priced at ¥800. Children below school age receive free admission.
Getting there
Asahigaoka Lakeside Green Park can be accessed in about 10 minutes from the Yamanakako IC on the Higashi Fujigoko Road, and on-site parking is available.
