When visiting Japan, many people I know have asked about places where they can get a good view of Mount Fuji. They don't necessarily want to climb it - they simply want to enjoy the majestic beauty from a distance.
One of the best spots to get a brilliant view of Mount Fuji on a clear day has to be Fuji-Q Highland. The amusement park has plenty of rides to keep you entertained, including some of the world's fastest and steepest roller coasters for the adventure seekers. Even with those attractions, the breathtaking sight of the iconic mountain is one of the most thrilling (and memorable) parts of a trip here.
Getting there
Fuji-Q Highland is located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. Fujikyu Station, on the Fujikyuko line, is right outside the amusement park premises. If you're visiting via private vehicle, parking is available at the venue at a cost of 1500 yen per day.
