AWAUMI Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort opened in July 2023, bringing a slice of glamping life to this flourishing tourism area, known for the nearby Fuji-Q Highland and nestled between Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko.
Across the resort, a total of 16 resort villas and private cabins, including fully-furnished dome tents with expansive views of the surrounding mountains and nature. They come equipped with a natural hot spring and outdoor sauna facilities and offer a private yet luxurious stay experience.
The flagship ‘Suite Villa’ provides a luxurious and spacious stay, with bedrooms over 70m² in size and dedicated dining and kitchen facilities, great for families or couples.
For groups or those looking to get closer to nature, private cabins and dome tents promise just that — but don’t compromise on comfort or facilities either.
Beyond the luxurious reception area—complete with its open fireplace and open bar stocked with local Yamanashi wines—you’ll discover the Awaumi’s centrepiece, a central pool for guests to enjoy, with poolside loungers.
Beyond this, a firepit and seating area provides an added aura and cosy ambience as the sun sets.
BBQ is the name of the game when it comes to glamping and Awaumi does not disappoint, with everything you need provided onsite for a quality, barbecue dinner and breakfast experience. From Koshu wine beef steak to Fujizakura Pork, alongside some skillet-style dishes like Ajillo and much more, expect to be eating in no time with minimal preparation needed once the grill is heated.
