With a white sandy beach, clear blue water, a lighthouse, a simple and colorful “church,” seaside grasses with wildflowers, and adjacent rocky cliffs, this campground is one of my favorites in Japan. Tsunoshima is most peaceful between sunset and early morning when the daytime crowds are gone and the sound of the waves prevails.
