From September 13th to 21st, 2025, Tokyo will host the 20th edition of the World Athletics Championships at the state-of-the-art Japan National Stadium. This prestigious event will bring together over 2000 of the world's top athletes from approximately 200 countries to compete in one of the biggest sporting spectacles on the globe.
This marks Tokyo's second time hosting the championships—their previous experience was back in 1991. More recently, the city hosted the 2020(+1) Olympic Games, but they were held behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2025 Championships will be a long-awaited opportunity for fans to return to the stands, experience incredible athletic performances in person, and celebrate the triumph of the human spirit.
The lineup features 49 events across track and field, showcasing the world's best athletes in disciplines like the 100 meter sprint, long jump, pole vault, race walks, and much more.
