Ueno Park (Ueno Koen) is one of Tokyo's most famous spots for viewing the cherry blossoms during the spring sakura season. Thousands upon thousands come to the park to see the beautiful, cloud-like trees. The area around Shinobazu Pond is particularly beautiful, especially the narrow blossom-lined path that cuts across the water. Bantendo Temple is the centerpiece of all this beauty. Though the crowds may be heavy, it is well worth a walk through...and then another walk back.
