Visitors to Tokyo Tower can discover a different side of Japanese craftsmanship this autumn, with a limited-time pop-up store dedicated to traditional Japanese kitchen knives.

MUSASHI JAPAN POP-UP STORE at TOKYO TOWER runs from October 20 to November 24, 2026, at TOWER GALLERY on the third floor of Tokyo Tower Foot Town. The store brings together knives made by artisans from across Japan, offering visitors a chance to appreciate the skill and artistry behind these everyday tools.

Shoppers can pick up and compare knives with different blade shapes, steel types, handles and designs, making the experience interesting for cooking enthusiasts and anyone curious about Japan's traditional crafts.

The highlight is a pair of special knives created with Tokyo Tower as their inspiration. One features red and black lacquer designs reflecting the landmark's distinctive colors and Tokyo's nighttime scenery. Another combines a black blade engraved with Tokyo Tower and autumn leaves, bringing together an iconic cityscape and traditional Japanese motifs.

For international visitors, the pop-up also offers a practical advantage: international shipping is available, so there's no need to worry about carrying a kitchen knife through airport security or packing it in your luggage.

Located within one of Tokyo's best-known landmarks, the store makes it easy to combine a visit with sightseeing around Tokyo Tower. It also offers a chance to take home something more distinctive than a typical souvenir, celebrating Japan's craftsmanship and culinary culture.

Getting there

Tokyo Tower is located approximately five minutes on foot from Akabanebashi Station, which is served by the Toei Oedo Line.
