Famous for being the only municipality in Tokyo without a train station, Musashimurayama City is home to the incredible Noyamakita-Rokudoyama Park. Worth visiting for this park alone, the city also finds time to engage modern shoppers with the famous AEON Mall shopping centre. Parents will love Fantasy Kids Resort, a children's indoor play centre, while the truly curious will be fascinated by the Yokota Tunnel.
The southern tip of the huge Sayama Hills natural park, Noyamakita-Rokudoyama Park is day out for the whole family. Filled with groves of forested woodlands, hills, waterways, and rice fields, the park also features traditional homes, hiking trails and numerous playgrounds, including the obstacle courses of the Adventure Forest.

Well off any tourist route is Yokota Tunnel. Once a route for transporting construction materials from one side of the mountain to the other, the tunnel is now a thoroughfare for pedestrians and cyclists. A sense of history can still be had here though even as the tunnel opens out onto the very local Yokota Children's Playground.
