Tokyo's Sumida River was a major transportation artery during the Edo Period, and the river has served as inspiration for artists and writers throughout history. A special exhibition taking place at the Hibiya Library and Museum will explore a variety of Sumida River related artworks, including pieces from the likes of Sadahide Hashimoto and Utagawa Kunisada to name just a couple.
Admission to the event is free of charge. If you do plan on attending, please note that the museum will be closed for the Marine Day public holiday on July 17th.
