A green oasis in Machida City

<p>The still ponds create magnificent reflections</p>

<p>Ornamental koi swim in the park's ponds</p>

<p>Paths lead the visitor through the trees</p>

<p>You can listen to the refreshing sound of flowing water</p>

<p>A corner of the park has children's play equipment</p>

<p>The foliage seems to merge into the reflections of the pond  </p>

<p>A pair of orange koi drift in a patch of water weed</p>

<p>At the far end of the park wooden decking takes you closer to blooming irises</p>

<p>This large open area is used for festivals and events</p>

<p>The huge kinetic fountain makes playing in the shallow pool more fun for kids</p>

<p>A man-made waterfall and stream invites paddlers</p>

<p>The Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts stands near the entrance of the park</p>

This beautiful park in Machida is a popular place for family picnics at weekends. On weekdays it offers a peaceful place surrounded by nature's beauty to strollers, dog walkers and picnickers. It is also a handy place for special events in Machida such as the spring festival and the yabusame (horseback archery) event that is part of Machida's Jidai Matsuri.
