Okutama's Autumn Colors

The best of Tokyo's natural oasis

Steve Morton   - 1 min read

During my last visit to Tokyo's rural Okutama district, I initially only intended to stay for a couple of hours. However, with such an abundance of breathtaking scenery, I soon found myself transfixed within a magical landscape filled with narrow mountain passes, winding valleys and many interesting abandoned structures left to forces of nature and time.

One of these mountain passes is the popular Mukashi-Michi, which I was fortunate enough to visit during late autumn where the entire landscape was transformed into a beautiful array of vivid colors
