Kiiroitori Checks Into a Japanese Public Bath at Tokyo Station

Take a peek at how the Rilakkuma character enjoys a traditional Japanese sento

One of Japan's most lovable little yellow birds is trading his usual lounging spot for a public bathhouse in a new limited-time character pop-up at Tokyo Station.

Kiiroitori Public Bath is taking over Ichiban Plaza on the B1 floor of Tokyo Character Street until November 12, 2026. It's the ninth annual Kiiroitori-themed event, and this year's concept gives fans a peek at how the Rilakkuma character spends his time enjoying a traditional Japanese sento.

The pop-up features a range of bathhouse-inspired merchandise, including face towels, public bath pouches, palm-sized plush toys, and hanging plushies. Prices start at 880 JPY for a face towel, while the palm-sized plush toys cost 1,650 JPY each. There are also purchase bonuses, including a surprise-design metal badge for every 1,100 JPY spent, available while supplies last.

Additionally, the first customers to spend 11,000 JPY or more will also receive a special vinyl bag, although quantities are limited.

It's worth planning ahead if you're hoping to visit. Entry arrangements may vary depending on crowd levels, with numbered tickets and other congestion-control measures potentially introduced. Visitors should check the official Rilakkuma Store Blog for the latest admission information before heading over.

Tokyo Character Street is a convenient stop for character merchandise fans, located inside Tokyo Station. Just remember that this particular pop-up won't be around for long, so don't leave your visit too late!

The store is open from 10am to 8:30pm daily, with an earlier 6pm closing time on November 12.
