Higashi-Koganei, a Tokyo suburb on the JR Chūō Line, is a popular place of residence for locals and tourists alike, due to both its peacefulness and proximity to the centre of the city (JR Higashi-Koganei Station is only about 20 minutes from Shinjuku Station).

Whether strolling down the quiet streets, frequented predominantly by cyclists, or exploring the sparse Koganei Kōen in the heart of the suburb, you will find yourself relaxed and refreshed after experiencing the exhausting pace of Tokyo's busier areas. Some people love the surroundings so much they stay for varying lengths of time in the nearby share house.
