If you needed another reason to linger a little longer around Tokyo Station, this might be it. The Dragon Ball Store Tokyo, which opened in November, is the very first permanent store in the world dedicated entirely to the Dragon Ball universe.

Located on the first floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai, the store is easy to reach even if you're just passing through on a shinkansen transfer. From the moment you arrive, it's clear this is more than a typical merch shop. A large statue of Son Goku and a dragon marks the entrance, setting the tone for a space designed to immerse visitors in the world Akira Toriyama created over 40 years ago.

Inside, the focus is on store-exclusive items you can't buy anywhere else. One highlight is the History Series, an original art line created specifically for the store. The first releases feature familiar faces like Goku, Bulma, Oolong, Puar, and Yamcha, available across collectible items such as pin badges and acrylic stands.

Another standout is a newly illustrated take on the Volume 1 Dragon Ball cover, featuring Goku and the Dragon. This artwork also appears as the store's iconic entrance statue, making it a defining visual for the Tokyo location. For anime purists, replica cel-style art recreates memorable scenes from the series with impressive attention to detail.

There's also no shortage of lighter souvenir options, including candy packaged in a Four Star Ball case, along with T-shirts and stickers that are easy to slip into a suitcase.

Getting there

The Dragon Ball Store Tokyo is located on the first floor of Tokyo Station's Ichibangai shopping district, which is just a minute on foot from the Yaesu North Exit.
