Regarded by many as one of the most innovative painters of current times, David Hockney (1937- ) has produced a wide variety of works in the fields of painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and performing arts over the past 60 years. A special exhibition coming to the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo this summer will explore a variety of Hockney's works, in his first Japan-based large-scale solo exhibition for 27 years.
Over 100 of his artworks will be on display at the event, including popular pieces like Sprinkler (1967), Twelve Months in Normandy (2020-2021), and Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy (1970-1971).
As yet, admission prices to the exhibition have not been determined. More information will be added to the official event website closer to its opening date.
