Art Fair Tokyo is an annual international exhibition held at the Tokyo International Forum in Marunouchi, Tokyo. First held in 2005, this impressive exhibition is the largest in Asia and showcases the work of local and international artists, with a wide range of paintings, crafts, sculptures, and digital art. The Tokyo art scene is a vibrant and ubiquitous one, with excellent museums, art exhibitions and galleries spread throughout the city, in public spaces, and even in department stores.  Art Fair Tokyo brings together the work of a variety of artists in multiple genres and time frames into a single space for art enthusiasts.  

Open to the public, Art Fair Tokyo is a unique opportunity to interact with artists and galleries as well as view and purchase art. The Tokyo International Forum building is a stunning piece of architecture created by Rafael Vinoly and worth the visit alone to view its expansive space. The event space is open and allows for a relaxed viewing experience while appreciating the works.  The diverse artwork is fun for art lovers of all ages and provides a distinct experience from the museum spaces abundant in Tokyo. Among many others, internationally renowned Japanese artists including Yoshitomo Nara, Kyne, and Takashi Murakami's Kaikai Kiki group have pieces showcased at the fair. The 2025 Fair had 139 galleries participating. The vendors and gallery staff are interactive and eager to showcase their works with the audience, which makes for an immersive and personal visit.

Getting there

The Tokyo Art Fair is held annually in the Tokyo International Forum Building in Marunouchi. The closest stations are the JR Marunouchi or Yurakucho Station. The nearest Metro stop is the Yurakucho station on the Yurakucho Line.
